RESUMEN
La tesis estudia el fenómeno de la información digital en línea sobre medicina y salud. Se plantea el reto de la selección de información creíble y de rigor ante el gran volumen de contenidos presentes en Internet, no siempre fiables como fuente en cuanto a temas médicos y sanitarios. La tesis plantea un método para seleccionar con acierto aquellos recursos digitales y contenidos informativos con calidad suficiente, y por tanto, de utilidad para el usuario, sea éste el informador o la misma comunidad médica. Igualmente se analiza un muestra de 33 recursos digitales de España y su nivel de calidad bajo tres parámetros: Funcionalidad, acreditación y credibilidad; y con 61 indicadores. Se aborda el contexto de la sociedad digital y sociedad de la información, el perfil de los medios de comunicación analizados, así como la revisión de los sistemas vigentes hasta la fecha sobre evaluación de sitios web sobre medicina y salud. En sus conclusiones propone la necesidad de filtrar especialmente la consulta en Internet de los contenidos médicos y sanitarios y promover su difusión con calidad, por el beneficio social que supone, además de su utilidad científica.

ABSTRACT
The thesis in line studies the phenomenon of the digital information on medicine and health. The challenge of the selection of credible information and rigor considers before the great volume of present contents in Internet, not always trustworthy like source as far as medical and sanitary subjects. The thesis raises a method to select with success those digital resources and informative contents with sufficient quality, and therefore, of utility for the user, he is this one the informer or the same medical community.
